Dear readers, on the anniversary of our library opening, we would like to ask you to write about what you like and what you might dislike in our library. What books were a discovery for you? What events, like a documentary photo exhibition, meeting with authors, were the most exciting? What exhibitions or presentations would you like to visit in our library in the future? Please write all your ideas in the big library book. Your opinion is very important to us.

Hi Max, Andrea’s calling. I just have to tell you that I won’t be able to join you for your camping trip this weekend. My aunt’s family are coming and mum asked me to show them around the city. I’m going to be a sort of tourist guide for them. I feel a bit disappointed, but on the other hand, our relatives are very nice and hospitable. When we visited them last time, they threw a party for us and did everything to entertain us. Anyway, I want you to have a great trip. Call me later.

- Hi Phil, how are you today?
- I’m fine thanks.
- But you don’t look fine. Is there a problem in the family? Is your grandmother well?
- Yes, Miss Reads, we are all well. It’s my cat Ginger who’s ill. He’s neither eating nor playing. And he looks very sad. It’s worrying me.
- Yes, I think I understand.
- I’ve never had any pets before. Ginger is a present from my granny.
- I see. I think you should take your cat to a vet clinic. I can recommend one. I always take my dog there.
- Oh, thank you Miss Reads.
- Can an adult from your family help you to get to the clinic?

- Good evening, Mr. Brooks.
- Hi Susan, how was your first day at the language school? Was it easy to find it?
- Yes, I followed your directions, took bus 22 and got off at the Stop City Center. That’s it.
- Good.
- The tutor said they used to be on the university campus, but it was too far from the center. Students staying with host families had problems getting there, so they moved to the school.
- Which was clever of them, though the air is better in the suburbs of course. In the city the traffic’s too heavy.
- Oh, the windows of our classroom are closed because of the noise from the traffic.
